I previously submitted a bug suggesting that Giada crashes on Windows 7 when sampling, and this occurs after saving and reopening a project. After a little more analysis I determined that saving and opening the project has nothing to do with the crash. Rather the crash is associated with changing the bmp value to something less than 120.
Scenario
Download Giada version 0.14.2.
Unpack Giada.
Run Giada once to setup the audio drivers. (See attached config.)
Close and restart Giada. (Giada does not quit, and has to be killed.)
Restart Giada.
Change the bmp to 90.
Add a new sample.
Turn on direct input monitoring.
Arm the sample.
Record.
Crash.
Other Values Tested
Giada crashes on 60, 90, 100, 115 bpm.
Giada sample OK on 130 and 150 bmp.

Re: [FIXED] Windows 7 Giada crashes when BPM is set below the default 120
Hello,
I have just installed giada the first time Version 0.14.3.
Its really a lovely Program and I just created a beat in a minute. I am stoked! I want to use it! So I will report Bugs
As there is no export function for the sequenced loops i've tried to cheat and connected the giada out to the giada input via jackd.
It seems that the recording starts but the Moment the Metronom/Counter hits the sixth count giada is crashing.
My Projekt is set to 131BPM 8/1.
I am on windows8
I just have tried it with recording from mic without jackd
On Asio4All recording runs the whole bar but crashes when I press stop or disable the recording.
On FL Studio ASIO its the same behavior as on JACKD.
I hope it's right to report in this thread rather than create a new one...the problem is similar.
cheers Guen

Hi guen, thanks for your love! Two questions:guen wrote:Hello,

Does Giada keep crashing with the default BPM/Beats values (120.0 BPM, 4/4 beats)?.
What happens if you select a different audio API instead of Asio4All (on Windows you should be able to choose between DS and WASAPI)?

Oh man,
i am really sorry, i guess jackd messed up my System...
just noticed that mixxx won't start at all with jackd installed.
I removed jackd restarted the maschine and now recording is working with asio4all... also in my saved Project regardless of tempo and measures.
On DS and WASAPI I have no inputs available...
on FL Studio Asio I could maybe record now but there is no signal on the mic
But all this is not related to giada... Windows is no fun for audio...
I have recorded my loops on my trusty SP, so i've made my first track with giada
My apologies again!

Don't worry, a double check on our side is always a good thing.
Have fun!
