[FIXED] VST plugins make Giada crash systematically

Post by philippe » Wed Apr 25, 2018 5:09 pm

Hello,

I'm new to Giana but every attempt I made to use VST instruments were unsuccessful.
I've tried many different free VST instruments, some are not scanned (lots of them), and the ones that are recognised all make Giana crash when I click on their name after adding them to the FX menu of a midi channel. I also tried to change my VST folder location (from main Library to home directory Library to a standard folder).
No logs to the Giana.log file, but here is Mac OS X report :

Hi philippe,
'
You mean Giada, right? :D Jokes aside, what's your macOS version? EDIT - found it in the crash log - OS Version: Mac OS X 10.13.4. Also, it would be useful to replicate the crash with some real VSTs in our machines. Are you using any free/open-source plug-ins we could test right away?

For testing, why not use Molot as it's free. That's the plug-in I used for the test above.

Cheers!
