Plugins Folder Scan Crashing

Post by PostRockFTW » Sun Aug 02, 2020 9:01 pm

I tried to scan my C:\Program Files\Steinberg folder for VST's, Window's entered a perpetual loop of incompatibility errors starting with this one.

I then tried to scan the folder of a specific plugin (Sitala)which was sitting in C:\Program Files\Sitala . That started to actually scan, but at 86% it hit the second attached error.

Do I need to save plugins somewhere else for this to work? Do I need to install something related to C++? Am I getting errors simply because GIADA is finding plugins it doesn't like and I need to make sure only certain plugins are in these folders?

I figured out how to work around the crash. I saved the folder but didn't scan and then closed the program. When I opened it again I was able to scan the folder without it crashing. Now I seem to have the same problem as the person that posted in July with my Sitalia VST crashing giada. Should I just delete this thread, or possibly add this error to the July thread?

Hi! I think the best you can do is posting this problem in GitHub Issues page:
https://github.com/monocasual/giada/issues

Don't forget to describe everything that might help fixing the problem. :)

Cheers!
