It would be pretty useful to have a countdown cue of one bar or two before the recording starts. Otherwise, it becomes a little bit tricky to accurately start playing and hitting the record button at the same time (there are pedals that would allow to achieve this with a little of practice, but if Giada can offer this feature, no hardware would be required).

That's a good idea. In addition, we've planned two useful features for version 0.15: Automatic recording on key press/input signal and Free loop length. Those two new functionalities together should vastly improve the live looping and recording experience. Anyway I add this one to the general roadmap. Thanks!
