Confusion about midi output - misunderstanding?

Hi there,
I was glad to see that giada 0.7.x should support midi output.
But I'm a bit confused by now, because I can't find a way to configure the midi output device or channel and stuff.
Or did I misunderstand something and giada is not able to send midi output to any connected device?! I wanted to try to get the midi output in my dmx lighting software and "abuse" giada for programming simple light sequences.

Giada 0.7.x is "approaching" to MIDI output. At the moment MIDI messages are sent only internally, e.g. from the Piano Roll Editor to VST instruments. In the next version (0.7.2) it will be possible to send MIDI events outside Giada, so that you can program any physical device .
