Hi
I tried out giada about a year ago, and now I'm looking at it again! The experience is *so* much better! It just opens up, and just works.
I'd like to be able to load a beat in an unknown tempo and have it automatically sync to tempo by either 1) stretching it (preserve pitch) or 2) playing back at different speed (pitching it). Is this possible?

Hi atte, welcome back!
For now you can manually change the speed of the sample in the Sample Editor, but the resampling algorithm is pretty ... rough. We have planned a high-quality pitch tool for the upcoming 0.8 series (plus synching and other goodies). Stretching is included in our to-do list as well, but we will face it at a later time, since it will require additional external libraries.
